Abstract: [...]of this experience, he has become a mentor helping his colleagues understand how eportfolios can support their teaching and learning. Institutional infrastructure remains most challenging since wireless Internet access is dependent on circumstances beyond the instructor's control, but if there is wireless Internet access, a faculty member can turn his or her own classroom into a computer lab by having students use their own devices. Because of the benefits of reflection, student agency, multimodal writing, and the gain of technology skills, we believe portfolio pedagogy and eportfolio implementation should be part of the preparation of faculty who wish to work at a two-year college. [...]we suggest the addition of "portfolio pedagogy and implementation" to the list of competencies given in the 2016 "TYCA Guidelines for Preparing Teachers of English in the Two-Year College." At Salt Lake Community College eportfolios are used for General Education assessment as well as English program assessment. Since 2010, Salt Lake City Community College has required an eportfolio for the purposes of assessing general education (Straumsheim).
